Dated to the late 19th century, this silver charm ring was crafted by the Miao peoples of the Guizhou province and was believed to protect the wearer from bad luck and malevolent spirits. The ring is decorated in relief with a round gourd and a butterfly, surrounded by swirling clouds. This motif of a butterfly and a gourd or melon was popular during the Qing dynasty and conveys blessings for a large family with many sons. Three chains hang from the face of the ring, each ending in a small repoussé offering fruit charm.

Ring band is adjustable. All jewelry sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
