Dated to the mid-19th century, this rustic wood press is carved with twenty round molds used for shaping festive mooncakes. Packed with lotus root, red bean, or other regional fillings, mooncakes are a delicacy eaten during the Mid-Autumn Festival as an offering between friends and family. Each mold included in this set is carved with a unique character, stylized as calligraphy brushwork. Beautifully aged and full of character, we love this humble kitchen tool as a storied token from the past.

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
