While most Qing-dynasty cabinets were decorated with gilt paintings or fine carvings, this tall cabinet is patterned with unusual oblong cutouts that simulate lattice and provide a glimpse at the cabinet's contents. Crafted in the mid-19th century, the cabinet has an otherwise traditional design, featuring rounded legs, an upper overhang, and two interior shelves. A thin layer of burgundy lacquer coats the exterior, contrasting the brass hardware with warm color and smooth texture.

Cabinet has multiple antique repairs to breaks to doors and sides.
