Hand-carved in northern China over a century ago, this provincial scoop was originally used for rice or grains. With time, the wood has developed a smooth character that calls to be touched. The form is graphic and represents bounty and prosperity. We like to use a scoop as an unexpected dish for snack foods or small items.

“I am particularly fond of PAGODA RED as we have known the family for so long. Betsy is a professional in every way and her intelligent taste comes from a long line of family knowledge in the arts. She and her team are the very best to work with and we find treasures with every visit!”
