Five Drawer Offering Table

Pure wood, with its rustic knots and grain in full view, takes center stage in this beautifully preserved 19th-century offering table. Masterfully crafted without the use of nails or screws, the console table is wonderfully articulated with round legs, subtle spandrels and prominent molding to define its five drawers with simple brass pulls. This table played an important role in home-based ancestor worship, providing space to hold incense, honorific objects and offerings of food.
