A rich, dark brown glaze clings to the textured surface of this petite jar, lingering on subtle ridges ringing the jar's broad shoulders. Crafted in the late 19th century, the wide-mouth jar was once used to store food in a Qing-dynasty kitchen, as evidenced by its interior glaze. Contrasted by an unfinished base and lip, the irregular glaze exhibits a rich range of tonal color and pitted wear that gives the pot fantastic character.

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
