This hand-crafted wood container dates to the early 20th century and was used to store rice and other grains. Darkened by a rich patina, the bucket is elegantly constructed of pinewood staves bound with iron rings and decorative iron fittings. The sides are subtly carved with large Chinese characters, colored by traces of the original bright red paint. With its unusual form, this vessel brings timeless rustic appeal to modern interiors as a planter or decorative accent.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
