This early 20th century breezeway tile has a simple lattice design comprised of swirling clouds around a central floral motif. A beautiful turquoise-green glaze cloaks the exterior, pooling in every crevice with dark, richly saturated color. Much like wooden lattice panels, perforated ceramic tiles such as this were used to allow light and air to flow through the walled courtyards of Qing-dynasty homes, schools, and temples. Today, these tiles add rich color to modern interiors as a wall sculptures, trivets, or chargers.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
