This lacquered serving tray dates to the early 20th century and exemplifies the refined style of Japanese tea ceremony objects. The tray is elevated by four corner legs that bow outwards slightly and flow seamlessly into the square top frame. A layer of bright red lacquer provides an even finish and accentuates the tray's simple silhouette.

Minor splits to lacquer finish.
