This 19th-century Chinese lock once brightened the façade of a lacquered cabinet with a flash of golden brass. Demonstrating the aesthetic value placed on even the most everyday items, the lock is etched with a traditional design of two dragons soaring towards a flaming pearl, an emblem of the sun, of the moon, of balance, and of power. Elevated by a custom steel mount, the lock has an elegant, balanced form and a beautifully aged patina.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
