This round stone originated as an early 20th-century threshing wheel. Secured to a wooden axel that ran through the center, the stone was rolled across stalks of wheat to separate the grain, pulled either by man or by ox. It's shape resembles an ancient Chinese coin, a symbol of wealth and prosperity.
