This lovely pair of treen candlesticks date to the 19th century and are crafted of turned wood in the style of Georgian or Victorian woodworking. A round dish sized for a taper candle tops each stick, supported by baluster-form turned stems. Each candlestick stands upon a wide round base decorated with floral brass filigree. The wooden forms are stained to a dark brown, now worn at the base to reveal the original color of the wood.
