This early 20th-century scroll case likely once sat in the studio of an esteemed Qing-dynasty scholar. The perfect size for a rolled-up scroll, the box was used to store and protect his works of traditional calligraphy and landscape painting. The box is crafted with dovetail joints at the edges and a lid that slides open to reveal the box interior, without the use of hinges or hardware. Simply designed with clean lines, we love this scroll container as a storied place to stow small household objects.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
