Dated to the late 19th century, this silver charm ring was believed to protect the wearer from bad luck and malevolent spirits. The ring is decorated in relief with a round gourd and a butterfly among outstretching vines. This motif of a butterfly and a gourd, or melon, was popular during the Qing dynasty and conveys blessings for a large family with many sons. As a finishing touch, a short chain hangs from the front of the ring, ending in a repoussé charm of a ripe offering fruit.

Ring band is adjustable. All jewelry sales are final. No refunds or exchanges.
