This clean-lined elmwood table from China's Shanxi province was likely used as an altar table in a Qing-dynasty home. Designed to display incense and offerings, the narrow table has a single drawer intended for storing incense and other accessories. Cloaked in a richly aged lacquer, this petite console table adds character to any room, whether bedside as a nightstand or tucked in an entryway or hallway.
