This petite Indian dish dates to the early 20th century and is shaped of silver alloy in the manner of Indian Kutch silver ware. Intricately hand-worked with repoussé and chasing techniques, the bowl exterior is decorated in relief with an idyllic scene of village life. Hammered with fine detail, the continuous landscape is dotted with thatched houses, figures carrying baskets and water vessels, tall palm trees and other foliage. The round dish is elevated by a short tapered foot and finished with a ruffled lip.
