Dated to the late 19th century, this provincial collector's shelf once stood in an office or home studio, displaying a curated collection of precious objects such as porcelains, bronzes, jades, and scholars' rocks. The shelf features two shelves enclosed by scalloped frames and three drawers underneath, perhaps used for stowing incense accessories and other smalls. Beautifully aged from a century of use, this small collector's shelf adds rich texture to modern interiors, whether filled with books beside a sofa or piled high with hand towels in a powder room.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
