This elegant, delicately crafted lantern was made in Northern China over a century ago. The frame is made of the finest rosewood (Huali) and is inset with panes of frosted glass. Lanterns in China have a history that goes back over 1,800 years to the Han Dynasty: during the Lantern Festival (which falls on the 15th day of the first lunar month) people hang lanterns to symbolize peace and prosperity.

Not only can they balance new furnishings (and often new construction) by feeling more established, but the pieces emanate a sense of rich history, often leaving you wondering where they were in a previous life. These beautiful pieces carefully hand-selected by the team at PAGODA RED, coupled with their unbelievable customer service, make them a must-have for any home.”
