This darkly glazed stoneware bowl is simply shaped with tapered sides and a footed base. A rich, glossy glaze coats the bowl inside and out, streaking down the sides to reveal a depth of color ranging from light brown to dark green to inky black. The base has been left unglazed, along with a circular loop wiped onto the interior as minimalist decoration. Thick and glossy, the glazed finish beautifully embodies principles of wabi-sabi, marked with firing imperfections and a fantastic drip texture.
