This hand-crafted wood container dates to the early 20th century and was used to store rice and other grains. The lidded container has a rounded body with a short footed base, constructed of elmwood staves bound with iron rings. Intended for everyday use, the bucket is decorated only by its red-brown finish and small Chinese characters painted on the sides. Authentically rustic, this wooden vessel adds warmth and well-worn texture to modern interiors.

“Over the years, I’ve incorporated many pieces from PAGODA RED into my designs. Not only can they balance new furnishings (and often new construction) by feeling more established, but the pieces emanate a sense of rich history, often leaving you wondering where they were in a previous life. These beautiful pieces carefully hand-selected by the team at PAGODA RED, coupled with their unbelievable customer service, make them a must-have for any home.”
