The ancient Chinese compared the human body to a tree with the feet like roots. Daily washing of feet was a ritual for many, prescribed by traditional Chinese medicine to promote blood circulation and dispersal of negative energy. Dated to the early 20th century, this wooden foot bath charms with timeless rustic appeal. The basin is crafted of wooden planks bound by iron bands and features subtle decorative details such as a scalloped apron and hoofed feet. We love this provincial basin as a storied place to stow towels, bath accessories, or other household clutter.
