Blue and White Double Happiness Jar

Glazed in the classic blue-and-white manner, this antique porcelain jar offers a blessing of happiness and good fortune. Painted on either side of the jar is the 囍 character for "double happiness," a traditional symbol of marriage and conjugal bliss. Brushed in a deep cobalt blue glaze, the jar is densely patterned with trailing vines and orchid blossoms, symbols of love and beauty. The little jar is elevated by a round, hardwood display mount and a wooden lid replaces the lost original.
