A thick layer of dark brown glaze coats the body of this petite early 20th-century kitchen jar. As evidenced by the glazed interior, the jar was once used daily in a Qing-dynasty kitchen for fermenting or storing foods and condiments. The wide-mouth jar has a cylindrical form with low shoulders surmounted by two small strap handles. The speckled dark glaze has a subtle sheen rather than a high shine and is textured by the banded surface of the vessel.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
