Perfectly proportioned and delightfully ornate, this wooden birdcage was once home to the pet of a Qing-dynasty aristocrat. Dated to the mid-19th century, the fine birdcage is carefully assembled from thin strips of wood and fitted with two perches. The cage is complete with the original owner's accessories, including decorative carved bone charms, jade beads, and delicate porcelain cups for holding water and birdseed. A fantastic collector's item, we love this petite birdcage as a storied sculptural object or the new home for a feathered friend.
