The imposing doors of this 19th-century cabinet are accented with a trio of lozenge-shaped moldings that enliven the tall, rectilinear silhouette with horizontal lines. Invigorating the cabinet with a sense of rhythm and geometric tension, this tripartite motif is repeated in the cabinet’s triple dagger lock and a trio of interior shelves. Made of northern Elmwood, the cabinet was precisely constructed without nails or glue and painstakingly layered with coats of lacquer to create its glossy, inky black exterior.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
