Richly aged brass hardware punctuates the dark brown surface of this Qing-dynasty coffer with moon-shaped locks, hinge plates, and pulls. The cabinet is crafted of northern elmwood (yumu) and cloaked in a beautifully crackled dark lacquer finish. Used for general storage, the coffer has three shallow drawers and a large central compartment with bi-folding doors. Exhibiting the refined aesthetics of Ming-dynasty design, this coffer offers an elegant storage solution for the modern home.
