This offering table from China's Shanxi province dates to the early 19th century and was originally used to display an ancestor shrine in a provincial household. Incense, candles, and fruits would have covered the narrow table as offerings to the family's ancestors. The table has a minimalist design, with a floating panel top, a single wide drawer, and straight legs linked by double stretchers. We've left the table's finish as-is to preserve its rich character, an inimitable weathered texture that only time can achieve.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
