Reclaimed Elm Footrest

Made of wood reclaimed from Qing-dynasty architecture, this low footrest embraces the wabi-sabi style with subtle asymmetry. The rest's simple form highlights every knot, split, groove, and color variation in our expressive 18th-century elmwood timbers. Reminiscent of African Lobi stools, the footrest has a lifelike quality to it, as though it may scutter away at any moment.
