With no stretchers, spandrels, or legs, this monumental table rounds the bend to form one beautiful, continuous ribbon. The simple silhouette is dressed in a red-orange lacquer, which has weathered over time for a rich, crackled finish. Dated to the early 20th century, the table has an expansive plank-top surface and side cut-outs shaped as ruyi, auspicious symbols of longevity and good fortune. Used as a grand center table or a tall bench, this brightly colored ribbon table anchors any interior as a show-stopping centerpiece.
