Long ago, this little box was used by a Qing-dynasty woman to store her favorite pieces of jewelry, each drawer filled with jades, pearls, coral necklaces, and hair pins. Crafted of birch wood, the jewelry chest has two shallow drawers and opens to a large mirror and tiered interior compartment. The front is ornamented with a lotus-form brass key hole escutcheon and two brass drawer pulls in the form of ancient locks, symbols of protection and longevity. We've re-imagined this charming jewelry box as a petite side table, elevated by a custom steel table base.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
