Known as a spouting bowl or resonance bowl, this brass water bowl with handles has a flared shape designed to magnify vibrations moving through its water contents. By rubbing a flat palm back and forth across the handles, the user sends vibrations through the basin and in turn through the water, causing the surface to ripple, spout, and dance about. The brass bowl is cast in low relief with motifs relating to water, including cloud-form scrollwork, crashing waves, and four sinuous dragons blowing fountains of water up the sides. Textured by a light patina of verdigris oxidation, we love this charming bowl as a catch-all, planter, or decorative centerpiece.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
