This English chest of drawers from the early 19th century is crafted in the Queen Anne style with straight sides, bracket feet, and a slightly overhung top. The top and drawer fronts are decorated by a gorgeous veneer of hexagonal maple wood cross-sections arranged in a honeycomb pattern.

Each of the five drawers are adorned with six-petal floral brass escutcheons with teardrop pulls and matching keyhole plates. The veneered exterior boasts a richly aged patina, speckled with minute blemishes and marks that provide surface intrigue and character.

From the collection of Frances and Gary Comer.

Minor wrinkling of maple veneer.
