Blue and White Double Happiness Jar

Glazed in the classic blue-and-white manner, this rounded jar offers a blessing of happiness and good fortune. Painted on either side of the jar is the 囍 symbol for "double happiness," a traditional symbol of marriage and conjugal bliss. The jar is densely patterned with trailing vines and orchid blossoms, symbols of love and beauty. The vibrant blue design has moved during firing, bleeding into the surrounding white field and pooling into the subtle texture of the ceramic body.
