This charming set of brushes and jars was once used by a well-to-do lady to store her cosmetics and maintain an elegant updo hairstyle. Also known as a toilet service or grooming set, vanity sets were a popular wedding gift and were kept on the woman's bedroom dressing table.

The set includes eight individual pieces, including one brush, three frosted glass cosmetics jars, an adjustable hand mirror, a nail buffer, a nail file, and a pair of tweezers. The tops are decorated with opaque green enamels in a gentle gradient from light to dark. A delightful keepsake from a bygone era, the eight-piece set makes for fitting decor in a modern powder room or closet.

From the collection of Frances and Gary Comer.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
