Our dynamic 15,000 square foot, early 20th-century restored bow-truss inner sanctum is always changing. The rough-luxe space is influenced by the belief—shared by world philosophies including Confucianism, Taoism, Buddhism and many Western practices—that balance can be achieved through the coupling of opposites. Within the gallery, you see this balance in the pairing of hard stone floor with soft textiles curtains and ancient craft with modern design.
An artisan transformed the cracks in our warehouse floor into a Kintsugi work of art. Kintsukuroi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with precious metals. We love the idea of celebrating the history and patina of an object or space, rather than seeking perfection.
Step behind the curtain to explore the racks—a results of 20+ years of collecting. Art, furniture, and extraordinary objects from around the world are awaiting to be discovered.
Our murals are inspired by Ming motifs found on traditional blue and white porcelain. Thanks to Amuse126 for enveloping our collection and enriching our neighborhood with these incredible works of art.
