Sculpted by artisans in China's Shanxi province, this black clay vessel has a quiet simplicity, shaped with balanced proportions and an undecorated, unglazed surface. Charged with the humble task of storing dry goods, the earthenware jar has a wide mouth, rounded lip and broad shoulders that narrow gently towards the base. Ideal today as an indoor planter or catch-all, the pot has a natural beauty, patterned only by smoke patterns left during firing and the speckled texture of the clay.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
