This straightforward, minimally embellished cabinet was used by a 19th-century carpenter as a model to encourage clients to dream up their own designs. Made of elmwood, the carefully crafted cabinet showcases the woodworker’s mastery of traditional construction techniques. Doors slot directly into the frame give the cabinet its clean lines and a single brass lock plate punctuates the rich, black lacquer. We love this petite chest as a jewelry or keepsake cabinet.
