This provincial coffer from northern China has a simple, clean-lined form. The coffer dates to the early 19th century and is expertly crafted of walnut using traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery methods. The square-corner cabinet features six shallow drawers and three sets of doors that open to a large interior fitted with a single shelf. The doors are accented by striking full moon brass lock plates secured with simple dagger posts. Ideal as a sideboard or credenza, this cabinet enriches modern interiors with minimalist design and gorgeous materials.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
