Popularized during the Ming dynasty (1368-1644), tall display tables such as this were used to display precious objects, serve tea, or elevate burning incense. This square example dates to the mid-19th century and features three drawers and a lower shelf. A beaded edge traces the table's paneled sides and continues down the four straight legs ending in hoof feet. The front apron is carved with foliate scrollwork and the shelf with a round medallion of swirling, archaistic dragons. Finished with a rich, dark brown lacquer, this square display table is ideal as a small side table or a pedestal for your favorite work of art.

What They're Saying

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
