This magnificent frosted glass light fixture is a rare French Art Deco chandelier signed by David Guéron of Verrerie d’Art Degué in Paris. A studio renowned for luxury glassware and fabulous chandeliers, Degué was operational for only a brief period spanning 1926-1939 and their art glass products have become highly valued by collectors and lovers of the Art Deco style.

Set within a nickel-plated bronze frame, this grand chandelier features clear frosted molded-glass shades with intricate botanical designs. At the center is a domed glass bowl that sits within a squared metal frame and gently curves upwards towards the ceiling. Four bell-shaped side shades extend past the main body on narrow, scroll-form arms, each wired with a single socket. Each shade is intricately molded in the Art Deco style with matching designs of bold florals and eccentric geometric patterns.

From the collection of Frances and Gary Comer.

Elizabeth Krueger | Elizabeth Krueger Design

“PAGODA RED was extremely supportive in helping to pull accessory options together for the Lake Forest Showhouse. After providing them with details and our vision on how we were looking to finish our space, Laurene helped curate options that made it easy for us to edit and finalize. It's also no surprise that the unique pieces we used in our showhouse space were some of the first to sell.”
