Stone Pedestal

This minimalist stone pedestal exemplifies the quiet refinement and simplicity that defined the Ming dynasty. Hand-carved of solid limestone by artisans in Shanxi province, the pedestal is defined by its square top, waisted apron and narrow corner legs ending in curved hoof feet. Minimally worked to preserve the natural texture and patterning of the stone, the pedestal adds depth to its surroundings as a display stand or decorative column, suitable indoors or out.
